There is a group of ladies that meet at a different location around Brunei every monday morning for walks. They are lead by my friend Margaret and most of the time are in and around jungle. This week though the walk was around town and the water village. And as it was the start of the school holidays Hanna and I decided to take Iman and Hariz with us.
The highlight of the morning was the boat ride going across the river and back. It's been a few years since I have been to the water village and forgot how colourful and unique life is across there. Sadly the pollution is alarming and as it was low tide we saw sections of the river bed blanketed with years of rubbish. And what's even sadder is that little is being done to alleviate the problem. I should stop talking about this now as it's another topic for another day. In all we had a fantastic morning out. I have more pictures to post in in the next few days.
