We drove over to Valentia Island this morning hoping for a miracle with the weather - sadly only more rain and fog. Still what we could see was spectacular scenery and the kids kept on wondering why we were driving around in the clouds. Off the west coast of Ireland, Valentia is remote and wild - an ideal place if you don't want any neighbours or if you were looking for a very isolated holiday!
At one end of the island is a village with pier and small cafes and we refuelled before a treat on the way home with the ferry and the hope that Ayden will stop badgering us for a boat ride - till tomorrow that is!
