Meeting the Tansleys and Peglars

While I am on the topic of friends, one afternoon in Cork we visited the families behind eileenthewanderer.blogspot.com and peglarvivienne.blogspot.com. Eileen Tansley and her husband Robert are very good friends of Paul and Liz. And Vivienne is Eileen's daughter. The last time we were back in Cork, Iman had a couple of playdates with Vivienne's daughter Keely so visiting Keely again was on Iman's agenda. And though we have been in contact with Vivienne through the blogs it was our first time meeting her, her husband Rob and little Lilyana in person.

Needless to say the kids got on very well and the blogger mums out of habit took plenty of pictures. We were treated to an afternoon of delicious cakes ~ thanks again Eileen ~ and wonderful Irish strawberries (best strawberries ever) ~ and yes Viv I now wish I took pictures of cakes and strawberries). And the list of what the children ate is endless!

The kids had a great time running around in the garden. They took turns taking the Peglars' dog Gizmo for a run. There was an egg and spoon race safely using potatoes followed by an Irish music session led by the grandads. The kids really got into that especially Jack who got hooked on the Irish bodhran.

Thanks again to the Tansleys and Peglars for such an wonderful afternoon ~ till we meet again!
