Just under two weeks to go before we return to normal life with the end of Ramadhan and the preparations are beginning to kick into full gear. All the Baju (clothes) will have been made some time ago (as you have two chances of getting anything done this late) but it's the cooking that is beginning to get into high gear. Kitchen of Jasmine is busy meeting the increasing demand but still maintaining the quality and soon the malay cakes and pineapple tarts will be hopping out of the ovens in the compound.
I'm seeing if I can manage two weeks in the row at home (which will be a record) and catch up on some much needed fasting. So far so good, although is really helps to be busy during the day so weekends are never the easist during Ramadhan. Of course, Hari Raya (Eid) here means more work, with plenty of people coming to visit but it's one of the highlights of the year and something we would never want to miss !
